This Glazed Maple-Balsamic Salmon is one of those recipes I turn to when I don’t feel like cooking but want something light and healthy. It’s a delicious baked salmon filet on top of fresh greens, crunchy apple slices, slivered almonds, and the most delicious, drinkable maple-balsamic dressing.

Why I Love This Glazed Maple-Balsamic Salmon Salad Recipe

I love this Glazed Maple-Balsamic Salmon for so many reasons. One is just how easy it is to put together and make. It is as simple as whisking together a dressing/marinade, baking the salmon, and throwing together a simple salad. This dish is healthy, simple, and nevertheless delicious. I love making it for a quick lunch when I need extra protein and throwing it together on those nights when we need something quick and easy! You could make just the salmon alone, but the cinnamon with the maple and balsamic are delightful and make this dish taste like Fall, especially when paired with the greens, apples, and almonds.

Ingredients and Substitutions

  • Maple syrup
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Avocado oil
  • Cinnamon
  • Salt
  • Mixed greens
  • Apples
  • Slivered almonds
  • Dried cranberries
  • Feta, optional

Equipment Needed

  • Knife and cutting board
  • Baking sheet
  • Mason jar with lid
  • Spatula

How To Make Glazed Maple-Balsamic Salmon Salad

Make the dressing/marinade using maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, avocado oil, and cinnamon in a mason jar. Secure the lid and shake vigorously to combine the ingredients thoroughly.

Using half of the marinade, pour it over the salmon filets in a shallow dish. Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes. Store the remaining dressing in the fridge.

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Place your salmon skin-side down on a prepared baking sheet, and bake for 15-20 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees.

While the salmon is baking, prepare the salad. To a large bowl, add the mixed greens, sliced apple, slivered almonds, dried cranberries, and feta(if using). Toss with the remaining dressing.

Serve the salad alongside the baked salmon filet.
