Do you want to know one thing I love most about Fall? Soup, soup, and more soup recipes! If you ask my husband what his favorite thing I make is, he would 100% respond with any of my soups.
There is something so satisfying about being able to combine every aspect of a meal together in one pot and have the outcome be a delicious soup. They are effortless, delicious, satisfying, and are sure to please everyone you are cooking for. One other positive thing about soup is that it’s a great way to use up any produce or ingredients you need to get rid of. Soup recipes can all be so versatile and made to your liking as well.
Pairings I would recommend…
In addition to The Best Ground Beef Chili, I would make my easy skillet cornbread. It’s easy, delicious, and truly the best side dish for a big bowl of warm and cozy chili.
Can you put raw ground beef into the crockpot?
Yes, you definitely can! If you don’t have enough time to brown the ground beef before adding everything else to the crockpot you can absolutely put everything in there with the raw ground beef and the beef will fully cook over the 8 hours the crock pot is on low. However, browning the ground beef beforehand just gives it more flavor but isn’t necessary.
Is chili better in a slow cooker or on the stove?
This is a personal preference. I think chili is better in the crockpot personally, but the stove works just as well. I love the ease of setting and forgetting with the slow cooker, but in a pinch, chili can be made quickly on the stove top with the exact same ingredients! Also, in this recipe, I included instructions for both the slow cooker and stovetop.
